If you'd like to change the Ethernet port used for WAN Connection to another port, please follow the steps below:
Firewalla Gold Series
Firewalla Gold has 4 Ethernet ports. Port 4 is the default WAN port in Router Mode, and the default port connecting to the router in Simple/DHCP Mode.
To change the WAN port on Gold:
- Stay close to the Firewalla Gold, and make sure the Red security dongle is connected to the USB port on the Gold.
- On the Firewalla App > tap Network > tap Edit in the top right corner.
- Tap a LAN connection > unselect the port you'd like to use for WAN (e.g., Port 3) > tap Done.
- Tap the WAN connection > change the Ethernet port from Port 4 to Port 3 > tap Done > Save.
- Unplug the Ethernet cable connected to Port 4, and plug it into Port 3.
- Wait for 1 minute and pull down the screen to reload the App.
Firewalla Orange & Purple
Firewalla Orange and Purple have 2 Ethernet ports. The default WAN port is labeled on the Firewalla Box.
To change the WAN port on Orange/Purple:
- On the Firewalla App > tap Network > tap Edit in the top right corner.
- Tap the LAN connection. If you don't already have Wi-Fi enabled, add Wi-Fi (to prevent you from losing settings).
- On the same LAN connection, unselect the LAN port > tap Done.
- Tap the WAN connection > change the Ethernet port from WAN to LAN > tap Done.
- Go back to the LAN connection > select the WAN port > tap Done > Save.
- If you like, you can delete the Wi-Fi part of the LAN now.

It would be nice if when you change the WAN port, the Yellow Ring would move over to the new WAN port being used rather than staying on Port 4.
I realize thats the default WAN and just mirroring what is physically on the front of the Firewalla, but I still think it would be a nice indicator that you've successfully moved the WAN port.
