    Also my last  question was missed, so just reposting

    1. Will there be a channel graph ui in the Firewalla Wifi App  that shows how the channels are being utilised. interference.  Sort of like this ?
    https://img.community.ui.com/489f2c0d-0915-40ca-afe4-f9a4bd91116a/questions/0facb979-e2a6-46db-b605-bbf50cb0063f/f470e216-98b9-4d1a-9bd3-56504f079a23

    2. Will there tuning tab  in the Firewalla Wifi App that allows you to to visually see i signal strength , with a heatmap  or similar etc, so you can work out best placement if you have say 2 , 3, 4 access points?.

    Thanks.

    Thanks

    @GK I replied to you, but don’t see it showing up. I’ve been using beta on Apps and FW’s for years. No major issues whole time. AP7 is a totally new product of course, however if the experience is similar to new FW’s then it should be low risk. -Andy

    @firewalla If you've sent out the coupon I didn't receive one. Are they still rolling out? I did fill out the survey and install the beta firmware.

    Me to. I filled in the AP7 Survey in December but I haven't received a coupon yet either.
    Maybe they just have a lot to send. Is it best to email?

    @firewalla, is there an option to exclude certain channels (i.e DFS Channels) if the automated channel selection is enabled?

    Other replies:

    * You can use the firewalla wifi-test to see the realtime speed. This is far more accurate than phy speed from the ASIC; but, if you do need that, we can easily provide that data. Please post to ap7 forum as a feature request.

    * Mike, DFS channel exclusion is automatic.

    @Firewalla,

    Not sure if this has been mentioned.

    Will the ethernet ports of the AP7 supports LAG (Link aggregation) on the FWG PRO?

    I'd like to connect the AP7 to the 2x2.5Gbps ports on the FWG Pro until you release the 10Gbps switch :)

    No LAG support on two bridged ports. But the idea is good, will let our engineering know

    In AP 7 Can we have - Multiple SSID Profiles with VLAN Support : Ability to create multiple SSIDs, each with VLAN tagging, ideal for separating guest, IoT, and corporate traffic securely.
    And also Time-based bandwidth allocation for specific devices or SSIDs, useful for parental control and employee bandwidth management.

    Do you mean the gateway feature? No, at least not for now. The hardware has these protocol capability for sure

    @Kris

    You can have SSID to VLAN, Also dynamic VLAN via PPSK. (multiple SSID is there)

    No time based control for bandwidnti limitation for SSID's, but those can be added to the future if enough people want them. I do feel the current smart queue function is a lot more useful, see https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/360056976594-Firewalla-Feature-Smart-Queue

    FYI, we have started to move some discussions to the forums; it has better organization than a long thread :)

    And if you are getting the AP7, see you (tomorrow) 1/7/2025, at 9 AM PST.  Use this link to order: https://firewalla.com/products/firewalla-ap7

    Please make sure you read the disclaimers clearly and are comfortable joining the early access program. We can't wait for everyone to try the unit out!

    I posted this question in the forms, but as the pre-orders are tomorrow morning, I wanted to see if there was any discussion or information on the following prior to ordering;

    Do we have any technical specifications on the AP7 ceiling version that can be shared?  The technical specifications for the desktop is

    • Triband 2.4Ghz 2x2, 5Ghz 2x2, 6Ghz 4x4
    • 8 Spatial Streams, 320Mhz channel support 6Ghz

    Will the ceiling mount version add 4x4 to the 2.4 and/or 5Ghz channels or be the same in a different format (ceiling mount).

    I am just trying to determine do I purchase the Desktop AP7 or wait for the ceiling mount version (which might be more expensive) but overall a better specification device.

    Just bought 2, can't wait

    Would be interesting to know the purchase distribution by purchase, as one, two or three AP7's once the ordering window closes
