Firewalla Software Version Summary

Since Firewalla features can be either on the app or on the box, there are two update versions you need to look at: the app version and the box version.

There are three release trains:

• Early Access (Alpha): this is where we preview features and have you help us to make sure we are building the right thing
• Beta: a fairly stable release, but you can still give us feedback
• Production: the final and most stable release

More Facts

• Box updates are automatic. Most updates will finish within 24 hours of us releasing the code.
• App updates are typically rolled out in phases. This means it may take up to 7 days for your app to receive the latest version. Always check the latest release notes for new updates.
  • For iOS users, you can update your app manually by updating via the App Store.
  • For Android users, you may need to wait until Google Play pushes the latest release to your app. This process is typically up to 7 days from the initial release. Please be patient.

Firewalla Red and Blue boxes have reached end of life (EOL). The latest available software is box version 1.972.
