I am a beta tester with Device Version 1.94.311 (gfa25eab) and App Version 1.84(90) with FIREWALLA  app running on android 7.0 (Samsung Galaxy A5 2016)

For now I see the following features on my phone with the FIREWALLA application as beta:

    - Naughty Monkey

    - Vulnerability scan

    - IPV6

Can you please give a comment on these features as there is scarcely an explanation on what to expect

Vulnerability Scan: scan and detect problems on your network.  It is an enhanced version than normal

IPv6: support ipv6 traffic.  feel free to turn it on if you have active ipv6

Naughty Monkey: once released, the monkey will be playing games, watching porn and generating malware inside your house / virtually :)

So is "Naughty Monkey" a kind of simulator to test FIREWALLA behavior then ?

How do we see it's activity ? Is it considered as a dummy device ?

Better yet, how can we get that naughty monkey to come into our home IRL and do those things? That sounds kinda fun!

If we tell you how naughty the monkey is, then it won't be naughty right?   :)  you can find it out or leave the service off

I think I found the naughty Monkey device :-)

It is listed in the blocked sites trying to reach 176.10.107.80 ... At first I thought it was my son playing with his game, and then I realised I don't own such a device.

is the beta "vulnerability scan" more agressive in blocking device, ip or port than the "normal" use (no vulnerability scan enabled) ?

I just installed Firewalla android apps 1.91 and found a new beta feature:
    "shadowsocks client".

Can you please comment on this new feature to know what to expect? There is indeed a small explanation when activating this feature as a way to speed up network traffic for "selected traffic".
I don't know exactly what that mean and I would appreciate more details on this interresting feature

@nicolas, these features are private features which we have not released to the public yet.  In fact, they are close to alpha than beta.  That's why we don't document these features.  Simply because they are not ready for prime time.  Anything we think is interesting to test, we will put in the release notes.  For example, the current ones we need feedback are

    1. social hour
    2. device based blocks on gaming / social / ...
    3. Stability

In future, anything new or cool, we will write up a guide for sure.
