Anyone from Australia using the Telstra Smart Modem Gen 2, Technicolor DJA0231, Modem/Gateway, I could not get it to work stably with the Simple Setting as it would cause the Modem/Gateway to reset itself every 3-5 minutes. Switching to DHCP caused random problems with the wifi devices not getting IP's.
Only way to set it up was to follow the Xfinity XB6 DHCP Tutorial: https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009259414-Tutorial-DHCP-mode-on-XB6-and-other-Xfinity-Routers

In case you have problems with Ubiquti devices finding Firewalla, see this https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360026255194-Firewalla-not-found-on-Android

Router : Sagem 3686 Simple Mode
User attached Firewalla Blue to the ethernet port. Result in very slow speed. Later changed to a port connected to a switch then to this router, everything then works. (last part is a workaround). We have not identified this is a router port bug or hardware issue.

Asus RT-AC5300, Simple mode
Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X5, Simple mode
Ubiquiti Unfi. Simple mode. Works great!
Portal router, simple mode. Works flawlessly!
Samsung SMT G7400, simple mode
Netgear R6700 with simple mode works well, though the router is having a hard time keeping the DHCP list updated since firewalla took over ARP.
Proximus BBox3, simple mode, upnp=ok
TP-Link Archer C5, simple mode, upnp not okFritzbox 7360 used as an internet gateway, fully open in front of a Ubiquiti USG which is also the DCHP Server then an 8 Port nethead unmanaged switch, with an Ubiquiti Unifi AP and a Ubiquiti Cloud Key Gen2 for the controller and packet monitoring. And firewalla I’m Plug and Play mode.
Google Wi-Fi works with DHCP mode for the Blue. It worked for about 3 or 4 hours in simple mode before an issue caused loss of Internet connectivity. I'm unsure if this was a DNS conflict or something else as couldn't get to the logs. DHCP mode has been working for around 2 weeks now without any issue.

I have an Amplifi HD router/mesh system. I got my Blue about 3 weeks ago and things have been going well in Simple mode. Yesterday my network had a complete meltdown. After several approaches to the troubleshooting I was able to determine that Firewalla was blocking, appeared randomly, several services including DHCP. Looking backwards, there was a firmware update from Amplifi (v2.9.5) right about a week ago (DHCP leases set to 1 week by default). Since it had been working fine and I had been playing with different rule combinations on Firewalla to see the limits of what I could do, I decided that I would simply start at the beginning again and did a factory reset on the Firewalla. It failed the setup saying my router wasn't compatible with Simple mode. So DHCP mode is working for me just fine. But I don't know what changed in the latest Amplifi firmware that torched the Simple mode integration.
-
@matt, we are not aware of the change. The 'pairing' logic that picks DHCP mode is pretty sensitive, I'd recommend to run it again and see if it works or not. If forcing simple mode doesn't work, we have another mode called enhanced simple mode in 'alpha' that we can get you running with that.
-
I'd be curious to hear more about the new "enhanced simple mode" (what is it, how is it different, etc.). However, right now probably isn't the best time for me to tempt fate and force simple mode back on the device. My wife is in the last month of finishing her degree and has a ton of homework and tests, all online. The network meltdown the other day was... uh... not welcomed.
DHCP mode is working fine and I can live with that for the next several weeks.

@Alexander, it should not be too much. CheckPoint I assume is your router/firewall? The trick is to make sure Fingbox don't activate the "block" feature on devices Firewalla is monitoring. Otherwise, what you have is a nasty thing where two devices trying to spoof the same device ... which can turn the network over...
Also, both Fing and Firewalla likely do scans of the network, and each may have their special ways of helping you identify the good and the bad, (Likely the Checkpoint will do something as well).
