Firewalla Purple causing bandwidth issues

Hi, i have a Purple in bridge mode and all works as expected.

But then after a random amount of time I notice that my gigabit network connection has terrible performance. 

The purple has started reporting slow daily performance test.

If I reboot the Purple all is then back as expected.

What can I do / collect to solve this issue ? I can't have the Purple killing my network on a regular basis.

  Thanks will do. But about to travel for the week so response will be delayed. Also is there anyway to get the network bandwidth tester to email / notify when there is a substantial dip in performance?

  Alarm notification may come a bit later, we are still optimizing the speedtest results.
