Any thing special to know when Migrating from a Gold Plus to Gold Pro

  Migrating from a Gold Plus to a Pro.  Reconfiguring port arrangement on the Plus to Match the Pro before migrating.  Any thing I need to plan on in this move?  Anything not carry over, ie, I am using wireguard for my VPN as noticing a note that OpenVPN settings don't migrate.  Any thing else to know?  Thank you for the help.  Regards, James

  It should be pretty painless via 1. Restore or Replace (Initial Setup) . 
  When restoring/replacing Firewalla, the following data will not be restored:

   

  • OpenVPN VPN Server configurations
  • Past alarms and network flows
  • Data usage, Internet speed, quality test history
  • MSP-related configurations (you will need to re-add the restored box to MSP)
  • Any private data (containers, privately installed packages)

  Wifi configurations should migrate?  As well, will I need to re-pair the AP7’s to the new Pro, ie, reset them and re-pair to the new box?

  AP7 and WiFi settings can also be migarted. Do not change the physical connections of the AP7s if you'd like to preserve these settings during migration. Otherwise, you may need to reset the AP7s and set them up again from scratch.

  Understood. They are connected up to an X switch I have so the whole system is Firewalla end-to-end. I will leave them connected as they are presently with my Gold Plus and I will just change out to the Gold Pro after migrating.
