    The short answer is yes.

    And you do have ways to optimize the connection. Including site to site VPN, which allows you to access resources both ways, and allow traffic to go to VPN or local. (example, only route netflix to home, everything local)

    That's great. One more question. When I'm in India I normally get my internet connection by tethering it to my local phone there. I'm assuming that both my WAN and LAN can be connected through WIFI?

    Yes, you can tether Orange's WiFi to your phone, and also use it for LAN

    Hello. I got my orange today. Are there instructions on how to do this? I want to test it by tethering it to my home wifi and the connect to the wifi on the orange with my computer.

    Initial setup still need to be configured via Ethernet, so please follow Firewalla Orange Installation Guide to configure it in router mode first. It can be set up behind your Gold plus and won't cause any issues to your current network. You can also configure a LAN WiFi after setup: STEP 5: Configure Networks and Wi-Fi

    After initial pairing, now you can create a WiFi WAN to tether it to your home WiFi (remember to disconnect Ethernet connection from Gold plus to avoid network loops): Connecting to Public Wi-Fi.
