Nice setup! Make sure you keep the dust cover on the ports, when you have a fan, likely dust will gather more near the ports.

Good point about the dust covers... Yes I do use them...

The fan setup sucks air away from the Firewalla... from base of fan to the side.

It has L-M-H settings... I keep it at low.

    Without the fan 👇👇👇

I was considering this router, but didn't know anyone who had / has it.  If I did get it I'd want two for a mesh setup.

I have learned one thing when it comes to Mesh setups... no matter what you read or assume... the quality of connection varies widely. I had one Linksys setup at home... it was just not acceptable. I moved devices around... works "okay" but I just didn't accept any compromises.

I don't use my Alien as part of a mesh... but as a wireless access point... its very robust and the software is great.

Whatever you go with... just make sure the return policy... if it work for you.

And the Alien looks cool at night 😎... The lights have adjustable brightness and does have a night mode where it switches off the whole lighting from Time A to B (11pm to 7am for me)

Ah very cool likes and the panel is cool too.  How's the WiFi range compared to your previous setup?  Does this router allow for multiple SSIDs?  I had the Netgear Orbi and it only allowed for a single SSID even though it was tri-band.

It always for the usual combined of separate SSID for 2.4 and 5GHz... also additional separate SSIDs for each 2.4 and 5GHz. I don't think there are any specific settings or adjustments for the additional SSIDs... I don't use them.

There is also the nominal "Guest" as well

Does it have support for VLAN?
