AP7 / Gold SE and setting up Guest Network
I've just set up a Firewalla Gold SE, and connected the AP7 for Wifi access. The Gold SE is working fine for initial setup, and the AP7 for initial Wifi, but I'm trying to also set up a Guest wifi (internet access only) and struggling.
I've searched in the support and found the AP7 Microsegmentation guide https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/36297022580499-Firewalla-Tutorial-Microsegmentation-and-Segmentation-with-AP7 which has in Section 3 "Using VLAN to Segment the Network", an example doing exactly that. I've done the first 2 steps:
- Created a VLAN and set up a rule to block traffic to all local networks
- Created a new SSID called Guest.
However when I try to map the new SSID to the VLAN, it shows as unavailable network with a message saying "Wi-Fi can only be created on networks that use the same parts as the LAN the APs are wired to."
The AP7 is wired to port 3 on the Gold SE. I have tried multiple port configs on the VLAN, from only port 3 to all ports being selected, or all but the WAN connection, etc. None of it makes a difference, and I can't figure out how to map the Guest SSID to the new VLAN.

Hi there,
In your Network Manager, what are the ports selected for your LAN that the AP7 is connected to?
To create Wi-Fi on a specific VLAN, the VLAN must select the same ports as your LAN. If your AP7 is connected to port 3, and your AP7 LAN includes ports 2 and 3, then your Guest VLAN should include ports 2 and 3 only.
