Strict Safe Search?

The safe search filtering is done by the content (or search) provider, so Firewalla can't really decide what to filter.  This means, when you turn on safe search, firewalla will redirect all search requests to the "safe search" engine provided by youtube (for example), and the result from that server is filtered by youtube content filtering.

See this for more details https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/360022653793-Safe-Search

I understand that, but it's redirecting to safe.duckduckgo.com, right?  Is there no strict.duckduckgo.com or an equivalent url rewrite?

I'm not talking about youtube or videos, just animated gifs, photos, etc.  There's plenty of sites that familyshield dns can't catch, and the search engine will be the gateway to finding them.

As far as we know, there is only one version of safe search redirect for each of the providers.

The problem is really on the safe search provider (the search engines),  if they can't filter correctly, there is nothing we can do.  Remember, firewalla just redirects to these services.
