I've noticed I can't block video on one device so far but I can on another.

    I take that back. I can't block anything from the Huawei now. Actually, now I can't block anything..

    I have the same problem. I have the kids devices set to be "blocked" at 8pm and it works for a few minutes but then they can get back on a do whatever.

    Here are some quick checks

    1. If you have ipv6 enabled, and you are using simple mode, tap on the + and turn ipv6 on.  By default ipv6 is off.

    2. If you have dhcp mode, turn off ipv6 on your main router.

    To see is to block

    Firewalla can only block if it sees traffic.  So to check, tap on devices->[kid device]->network flows, and look at the activity graphs,  So before turning on blocking

    1. if you don't see anything on the graphs, send email to help@firewalla.com

    2. if you see things on the graph, and the domain history is strange, look at the download and upload, if you see very large transfers for upload and download ... likely the kid is messing with VPN.  (this in case your blocking gaming not working)
