Google Mesh WiFi problems

It seems like this device will not work properly with a Google Mesh WiFi network. The ARP spoofing tends to make the access points unstable where you can not add IP reservations or port forwards while monitoring is enabled. Additionally while monitoring is enabled the VPN will not function properly because the Google DHCP server changes the IP of the Firewalla even though it was previously reserved.

I liked the detail and reports the system provided. The app was well designed and easy to use. Too bad it just didn’t work.

Have you heard of any similar issues

  John, the Google hockey pucks are what we use in the office.  Some what like our reference platform for Mesh systems.  (The other one is the Orbi Pro).   I think you already opened a case in the system,  we can certainly help to get you up and running.

  Firewalla simple mode took out my Google WiFi WAN access every couple of hours.
  I followed this guide to reconfigure Firewalla using DHCP mode, and all is well
