The price will likely be decided one week before the pre-sale date. This time, the pricing part will highly depend on the number of signups here https://firewalla.com/gold10g

Maybe I'm an early adopter - but my network @ home revolves around 3x 10G including APs, 24 x10G Aggregation layer w/ SFP+, 8 x 10G POE++ Acess layer w/ SFP+, 24 Port Multi Gig POE access layer w/SPF+ and the firewall is the theoretical limiting factor + my ISP. So 2 cents for requirements include:
POE++ for the Ports w/ 10G RJ45
POE+ for the Ports w/ multibit up to 2.5
LAG Trunking
Definitely SFP+ min. 1 port to some sort of 10G access/aggregation hub (reduces heat & power of 10G interfaces vs -T RJ45 Copper)
Internally power supply !! So much cleaner
RJ45 10G Ports + POE++ (increases power requirements) - but you have the space now in the chassis.
Personally, don't mind if the chassis grows to full 19" rack width for better cooling / less fan noise w/ better design.
Add finally, maybe a PCI expansion slot with chassis access for any future cards (for another SSD, different interfaces, wifi w/ antenna, etc)

All the ISPs in my area will do a 10g handoff via ethernet. I understand everyone wants SFP but lets think about reality. If firewalla says the cost can't work just buy a fiber to ethernet converter.
All due respect to the guy above, but it is a 10G firewall not a full blown enterprise class choose your own adventure router. If you need that buy a fortinet, watchguard, cisco, palo, etc.

In the UK my fibre provider uses a Fiber Optic Cable SC-APC to their modem, to which I then plug my Firewalla Gold into over RJ45 and then onto my 24 port Meraki go switch.
I suspect I'm missing something here, but could my FWG do the job of the modem as well and so directly accept the SC-APC cable? I could then remove my providers modem from my setup completely.

Alec, what the others are asking for would be the ability in your case to skip the Meraki and plug the Firewalla Pro directly to the modem. Firewalla however is saying they will be making an RJ45 copper Ethernet (aka patch cable) only product similar to the FW Gold you have but with up to 10Gb speeds. In that case you would still need something to connect for converting SC to Ethernet like your set up today.

Thanks Andy,
Sorry I think my explanation was poor. I do have my FWG plugged into my modem over RJ45, cat8 patch cable:
Fibre Optic > Modem > FWG > Meraki Go Switch
So I was wondering whether the next FWG+ could include the modem functionality, accept the fibre optic cable (sc-apc) meaning the modem from my fibre supplier can removed completely from the chain?

Maybe there should be a notice put on the main post now that Firewalla is not taking ideas anymore, and any new suggestions for the same thing posted about a dozen times won't matter because the decided-on specs and features are now set. Firewalla already said the board is now designed with their manufacturing partner and being built, and should be on its way soon for testing and approval.

Gold Pro items that still need closing are:
- Memory socket (soldered vs a standard socket)
- Amount of memory (likely to be either 4GB or 8GB)
- Rabbit ears for the mount. Will it include a power adapter strap ... or a few patch panel holes
- And finally, the pre-sale pricing
Since we are always looking for cool stuff, please do suggest if you have a new idea. (before doing it, please do a quick search of the previous posts)

"Rabbit ears for the mount. Will it include a power adapter strap ... or a few patch panel holes"
I think it should include 4 keystone holes and come with 4 keystone blanks installed in it. That way if people want to just mount it and not use them they can and it will look nice, but for those who want it mounted and to use them to passthrough cables they can pop the blank plates out and install the keystone they want to use. This satisfies all groups of users because it lets people who don't want them to still have a clean look, lets people who only want 2 to use just those, and people who want all 4 to use that many.

Power adapter should be ready for a power brick. We Europeans use 230V 50Hz AC and either a flat plug for lights or a grounded round plug for better protection. Offer your power brick as an extra. I do not use rack and I want a ready to use device. - just some extras could be plug-in (configured at purchase).
