WAN download speeds approx half bandwidth
I have a gig connection from AT&T. When I use AT&T device speed test shows to be getting approx the 940 I should see.
Firewalla Gold SE installed in router mode directly connected to the BGW320
BG320 appropriately setup in passthrough. additionally in the connected device list shows my Firewalla gold device connected @ 2500.
Speedtest both through app and thru SSH (installed speedtest) never over 500mb download speeds.
I have tested / tried and cable issues between the 2 but am at a loss as to why I never show to have speeds from the Firewalla Gold SE close to my bandwidth from AT&T
Any help greatly appreciated

What we need to do is see which part of the network is slow. Speed tests can slow due to LAN/WAN/Ethernet/WiFi and even the speedtest server used.
Have you tried to run speedtests (say via speedtest.net) and see if the speed is good or not?

I am experiencing a similar issue. I have gigabit fiber and my Firewalla Gold SE tests for ~915Mb/s down and up (expected). My wired desktop connection to Firewalla tests for ~1015Mb/s download, ~800-850Mb/s upload (expected). When I try to do a speed test (speedtest.net or their app), I can only get up to 650Mb/s down, 800Mb/s up. I have tried turning on and off Smart Queue, applying a high priority SQ rule for my desktop matching to/from internet, and even tried turning off monitoring for my desktop entirely and none of these have worked.
My Firewalla is installed in router mode, fed straight from the modem. A couple weeks ago when I was still using my ISP router, my desktop could speed test in the 800-900s down. I have seen that this extends into real scenarios, where a recent game I downloaded capped out at ~64MB/s download where I used to average 80s/90s.

I am also having this issue. I have WiFi APs but running ethernet directly from a Gold SE to my desktop. I can get 300-500 mbits to various speed test services, but the Firewalla reports gigabit internet from the modem. The modem and WiFis are all in their respective basic mode and the Firewalla is the router/DHCP server for the network. All my wires are Cat6

Hey Alasdair,
Some quick troubleshooting. If you navigate to http://fire.walla:8833/ss/, what are the speeds you get? This is testing the speeds directly between your desktop and your Gold SE. Does your motherboard have built-in WiFi, or do you have an adapter for it? It's worth checking to see if it's auto-connecting to WiFi by accident.

Since it sounds identical to my scenario, can we confirm what you've tested with so far? In my case, I had only tested using speedtest.net and their app and never changed servers. I then tried fast.com from support's suggestion above and found my normal speeds again. After that, I opened the speedtest app and changed servers and again saw normal speeds. Interestingly enough, once I returned to my ISP's test servers, they also began to be normal speed again. I'm not sure what weird stuff was going on, but it was fine after all.

I have tried different servers to little effect. I'll keep messing with it today but I'm starting to lose hope. I do notice worse download speeds on Steam, large installs take longer and speeds in mbits reflect what I see in the speedtests. I will continue testing, I can try hardwiring my laptop today and see if it fares better. Still I have 2.5gb nic on the desktop and used to get close to a gigabit reliably on it before.
