Run over web no mobile connection

I got my firewalla gold and it's saying I need to install an app in order to connect to my.firewalla.com because it's asking for a QR code. I don't want to install the app. I just want to log into the firewalla gold via a login screen through Chrome like I do with every other device I either use currently have used in the past. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you -kinsha

  You need a mobile phone to activate and store the private keys for the unit.  After you pair, you can access the web, but still some operations need to be running on the mobile phone app.

  Ok so what happens when I replace my cell phone then? If the private keys are stored on the phone and I do my upgrade how do I transfer the keys? If I reset my phone like I do every 3 months to factory settings how do I retain the keys and or get the keys reissued to me? If my phone breaks before I transfer the keys.. cracked screen .. battery dies or explodes what are my choices and or options.
