Adding Wi-fi Adaptor to Blue

Can you add the Wi-fi adaptor to the Blue to turn it into a sort of purple for Wi-fi tethering when traveling in hotels.  I like the idea of the purple for traveling but me its an overkill and over 300 USD that’s too steep.  I have the Gold at home, wi-fi adaptor on order, but I have an old blue I dont know what to do with.

 

Just a thought

  USB wifi's can't do a WISP + AP at the same time, so it likely won't work in hotels

  Are you saying your USB WiFi is not capable or all usb Wi-Fi adaptors are not capable.  As I currently use another usb C Wi-Fi adaptor on a different device as a Wi-Fi hotspot in hotels, it works well but wanted to keep with the Firewalla family but without buying the purple, as I’ve bought the red, blue and gold.😁

  It’s the Deeper network Pico and Wi-fi adaptor.  I only use as a hotspot for traveling and not connected to my home network.  It’s a real shame that you can’t turn your old firewalla devices into a traveling hotspot with a little adaptation.

  You could get a travel WiFi router and tether the blue to that?  I do this with a TL-WR902AC and a Red.  Lots of people like the gl.inet routers, too.
