The red light usually means the WAN side is down. What you can do is connect to the LAN and just ping 1.1.1.1 to test it.

How are you connecting to the WAN side? is it WiFi? In the new 1.50, there is a compatibility mode under the wifi settings, you can try that

    It’s in WISP mode

When flashing red the LAN Wi-Fi is not advertised to join.

I'm having the same issue.  I have to restart the purple to get it to advertise the LAN.  I'm also traveling right now.

The other issue is when using a captive portal.  It will work the first time, but my hotel requires a login every 24 hours.  I usually have to go into the purple and edit and save, then I have to forget the network on a device and rejoin to get the portal to log back in.  It would be great if the firewalla app allowed you to do the captive portal instead of having to always use another device.

Will the captive portal popup again after 24 hours? if you connected to the purple wifi, it should reflect that to you. (unless you turn on DoH)

I have to forget the wireless network and rejoin for that captive portal to pop back up. I do not have DOH on.

This is fairly strange, the hotel is forcing you to leave the room and come back :)
