No internet when connecting directly to Verizon FIOS ONT

I have a Gold Rev. B, the original gold.

In bridge mode connected to my ASUS XT-9 router and I can access the firewalla box, and see devices connected.

I want to put it in front of the router, and have changed the status of the Firewalla from bridge to router, connected it to the ONT via Ethernet in the #4 position.

Yellow lights flashing, so it appears to have connection to the ONT.  I have connected an old ORBI router to the Firewalla for test purposes, but am unable to get any connection.

I have power cycled the ONT, the Firewalla and done a fresh start on the ORBI test router.  No connection.

Within the Firewalla app I can see that it is still labeled as LAN 1.  

I am able to re-connect the ONT directly to my ASUS XT-9 and get internet instantly.

Are there settings that I need to replicate in the Firewalla that I have overlooked?

Are there other configurations or steps that I missed?
