Hit counts without visits?

I have the FW Blue+, I am trying to figure out how these hit counts are working. To try to figure it out I added match.com as a block rule- under my device- never visiting the site. Within 45 minutes I have had 768 hits. Why are so many showing up when my device NEVER visited the site?

  Hi there, can you check if the network flows from your device show anything from match.com?

  Also, was your block rule using domain-only or default mode? In default mode, it blocks at both the DNS and IP levels. For example, any flows that share the same destination IP address as match.com will be counted as hits against the block rule on match.com.

  There is nothing for that site on the network flows. It is set for default.

  Since it's in default mode, it's possible that another site you're accessing shares the same IP address as match.com, and is being counted as a hit.

  Try changing the rule to "domain-only", reset the hit count, and check if you still get hits. Or create a new domain block rule using a completely different domain (that you would never access).
