14 hour road trip Firewalla orange hotspot setup
Planning a long drive from the Midwest to gulf shore. I tried running a small jellyfin server from a device on previous trips and it was a pain and broke often with three kids with tablets watching movies with headphones.
This year my plan is to buy a data plan for an old iPhone 14 Pro and connect its hotspot to a Firewalla Orange that I will be running off of a PD battery pack. I will then restrict the connection as much as possible using Firewalla to only allow streaming from my Plex server back home. So they don’t burn through too much data.
Can someone help me prove this out and if it will work?

My idea is to block internet while only allow traffic streaming back to your Plex server home. Additionally, turn off Automatic Internet speed test on your Orange because it also consumes data.
You can also configure Monthly Data Plan & Alarm to better monitor your data usage.
