Firewalla Security - What additional security software should we use?
With all of the various OS tools and third-party tools that scan your computer or internet based equipment (phones, tablets, etc.). What other 3rd party applications do we need if we have Firewalla IDP, Protect and other services running on the Firewalla device. I have a Gold SE, but I have also installed some 3rd party software to scan my local machine. Are the issues that these third party tools find warranted or just a means to have you buy a paid version?

In theory (and in practice), security is better layered.
What firewalla provides you is a really (really, really) good network-based security. It looks over your network and ensure your devices are behaving.
- Unfortunately, Firewalla can't see through things happening on your PC/MAC, so you need to run antivirus software there.
- And if you move up a layer, you need something to secure your password ...
- And one more layer, "think before you click", the human layer.
As of the exact tools to use as antivirus? we can't recommend. But for sure you have the best (of the best) network security device there is that's affordable and powerful. :)
