Trying to come up to speed on some of the rules.

1. I understand the default rules block traffic initiated from the Internet on all devices.  Correct?

2. If on one of my network segments I add a rule to block "Traffic from Internet" is that doing the same thing as #1?  I have a follow up to this one depending on the answer.

3. Some of the rules have numbers and dates next to them.  I assume that was the last block attempts and the date it happened?  Can I see what those specific blocks were and if they were trying to access a certain device?

  1. Yes. This is the Ingress Firewall. 
  2. Yes. Please refer to the Rules Logic here.
  3. Yes. The best way to view specific flows related to a rule is through MSP. The box itself is optimized for security lookups, and doing linear searches via the app could slow down your network processing time. You can learn more about it here.
