Verizon Internet Gateway wnc-cr200a Problem
Hello,
I've been having this problem for almost weeks with a friend of mine who cannot access firewalla purple. It worked fine for few months until the past few weeks I've been struggling to get it to work with no such luck. So i took the firewalla purple with me and it worked fine and i can access to it. Is there anyway I could solve this situation for him?
When i plugged his firewalla purple, bluetooth works fine and when it said to put lan 1 into wan firewalla and i did somehow it kept loading until unable to access internet. it does have internet but won't go through process. Even enabled IP passthrough while it was loading and it showed a red blinking light after i plug in ethernet cable from modem.
I assume the modem may be blocking firewalla purple or firmware update mess it up?
Any help would be appreciated

If Purple is working at your place, then at least we can rule out hardware issue.
When you still have the pairing of the box, you can run Network Diagnostics while it's connected with the modem. See if Firewalla can get an IP, or if it's getting an expected IP. Sometimes, you need to power off the modem for 2 minutes so it clears all cache then assigns IP to your device.
When the Verizon gateway still acts as the router, is Firewalla able to get internet behind it? -
We tried that and other solution to get it to work. When I put on ip passthrough on and it acts like a modem, not router.
I don’t think I can run network diagnostics if I can’t open app if it said “network unavailable” while it’s processing. With ip passthrough, I can’t remember exactly if Firewalla able get internet behind it.

Do you still have a pairing with the box? If you do, you should be able to run Network Diagnostic via Bluetooth when standing close to the box. If the box gets reset before, you will need to pair with the box again, as the old pairing won't work.
Purple should work fine when it's connected behind a router. If it doesn't, then Network diagnostic is easy to help you understand why it can't get internet.

I had a talk with him, he told me he reset everything from like factory new, thats what he did, with being said, once it processing was done. He cannot get into netwrok diagnostic via bluetooth as he tried but he cannot get through because network unaviale.......but he is getting internet connection as of now without firewalla purple. If I help him process things like before he still wouldn't get internet access from firewall purple. We did 2 minutes wait clear cache like 5 times with no such luck.

I’m having what sounds like an identical issue. I also have Verizon 5G home Internet and I cannot get the wan to accept a DHCP address from the Verizon box and when I do, it shows the correct IP on the Firewalla in the network setting, but under the about setting on the Firewalla, it still shows an old out of date IP address.
I have swapped out the Firewalla and put in a different brand router and it works every time without any issues. Can you please help me out?
