New FCC rules on foreign-made routers
I'm curious if this applies to any Firewalla products?

Yes, retailers can continue to sell existing models that were authorized by the FCC before March 23, 2026. However, the blanket waiver applying to existing routers currently limits receiving security patches and firmware updates until March 1, 2027 :/ Apparently, the OET will “re-evaluate” before this deadline if an “extension is warranted”. To make a device secure, security updates are a must. If the US government stops software updates, and given that a normal consumer is unlikely to start purchasing new gear (very likely to be a lot more expensive), the security problem will get a lot worse! It will be a nightmare. xxx
