Methodology: Transitioning from Velop Mesh to Firewalla
I have a typical small home setup with a 2-node Velop Mesh as the backbone for all network traffic. While I understand the topology goal with a Firewalla in between the Verizon modem and the Velop Primary, I'm a bit fuzzy about the steps needed to "cut over" from my existing setup to the future state. In particular, when do I use the Velop app to configure the Velop nodes to run in Bridge Mode? i.e BEFORE I install the Firewalla? Or AFTER? If BEFORE there will be no router present on the network until I install the Firewalla. I'm assuming this is the way, but I'm not 100% sure.

Hi there,
It may be easier to first install Firewalla and connect the Velop Primary to one of Firewalla's LAN ports. Then, once Firewalla is fully installed, you can change the mesh router into AP or Bridge mode. Here's an example with Firewalla Gold: https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/360046669734-Firewalla-Gold-Series-Installation-Guide#h_01EC6BGBKD9M17VZ160NFGN34G
