Slow connection on devices using wireguard with Firewalla Gold

So I have an issue with my transfer speed on my server, and it is caused by the Firewalla Gold.

Setup:
Firewalla Gold in router mode
Server running with Unraid, docker containers running with wireguard.

When downloading something I only get around 1/3 of my connection speed to my provider. This only happens when I use docker containers with wireguard included and it only happens when using Firewalla Gold.

To get to this conclusion I tested the following:
With Firewalla Gold
- Running the download in a docker container with wireguard disabled. I then get full speed
- Enabling wireguard in the Docker container and I only get around 1/3 of my connection speed.

Tested the same with two other router, one old asus and one Google Wifi.
- I then get full speed with both wireguard enabled and wireguard disabled.

So for some reason Firewalla Gold is limiting my connection when a devices on my nettwork is running behind wireguard. 

From what I tested I do get full speed using wireguard in docker containers, just not when using Wireguard. I Tried factory reset on my firewalla gold but the issue is still the same.

Any suggestions on how to solve this? The Firewalla is kind of useless to me if I cat sort this out :(

  Have you gotten this resolved? I've experiencing the same issue. Download speed is about 2mbps but upload is well over 100mbps

  2mbps is definitely not normal. I'll create a ticket and follow up.

  Any solution?  Fwg in router mode and with WireGuard, i get only 3.5 down with vpn on, 14 down with it off.  Not what i was expecting and trying to determine if this is normal behavior for fwg, normal behavior for WireGuard, or something else is happening.

  How are you testing the wireguard part? are you wireguard into your home? your rate may be limited by your phone ISP, the mimum of your upload/download rate.

  On an external wifi, using ipad, I did a speed test without vpn, then turned wireguard on and did speed test.  Repeated 2 more time, toggling on/off and got consistent results...  w/o wireguard on was getting 14-15mbps down.  w/ wireguard enabled, avg 3-3.5mbps.

  I also did some surfing and videos and definitely could tell a difference with wireguard enabled vs disabled.  Few times things lagged enough with wireguard on I hit refresh on page thinking it timed out.
