Apple Home App Devices Disconnect from HomeKit

I get WiFi to my iot devices and set them up using matter in Apple Home app but the soon after disconnect. I’ve re-paired them several times and they keep disconnecting. I don’t think I have any rules set to break the app. Firewalla purp Dr w/ a7access point segmented into vlans. Please help.

  Hi there, some general connection tips you can try with Firewalla AP7:

  • Try using a 2.4 GHz-only SSID. Some IoT devices can’t connect to 5 GHz or 6 GHz.
  • Try using a WPA/WPA2 SSID instead of newer security types, especially for older IoT devices.
  • Disable 5 GHz DFS Channels if your device doesn’t support it, or if you live near an airport or military base with radar interference.

  Sadly Firewalla OS ships with a totally jank avahi relay implementation that needs tossed into the sun and replaced with a modern mDNS reflector. You can do this partially via Docker.
