Partial loss of connection with VLAN

I have a strange issue with a Gold SE and VLANs.

I set up 2 VLANs via  a managed switch, everything works fine but after a few hours, my computer on VLAN1 loses the connection, my open connection to youtube (for instance) is still working but I cannot open new tabs in the browser. I can no longer ping the firewalla, but I can still ping the switch (before the fw), I can even ping some external IPs (like 8.8.8.8) but Internet is gone, at least partially (probably because the fw is no longer available through its IP address)!

The only way to get it back is either I reboot my computer or I assign a new IP to the VLAN. If I switch to the second VLAN, Internet is still ok, but down if I go back to the previous VLAN.

I also tried to replace the firewalla with simple router properly configured, and it works without interruption. I also noticed that the issue seems to happen more often (only?) on my Win11 computer, I did not noticed this behavior on my Linux machine (but I use it less often).

Did anyone encounter this kind of issue?

  If you can't ping the firewalla on this PC, and your other devices are okay, then the issue can be

  1. Your switch, it is doing some type of blocking

  2. Or your PC. Check antivirus alerts, some antivirus are extremely sensitive to network scans and may block your connections.

  The 1st is definitely not the responsible!

  But the 2nd was!

  Exactly as you said, my antivirus blocks the device when it does its port scan!

  And it also explains why the replacement with a router was working perfectly.
