Firewalla Gold – New device – Stuck blinking blue LED

The device is brand new and I never successfully connected to it. It remains with blinking blue LED indefinitely (even after ~1h).
Even the hardware reset seems inoperant.
Could it be defective?

  Following advice from support, I flashed the device as it is described here to fix the issue!

  It works well now.
