Show data usage when client is using vpn?
I want to be able to se how much data my devices uses. Problem is if a devices has vpn/wireguard enabled no data is registered.
I understand I cant se where or what the usage is, but why cant I se how much data is passed to/from that device?

What product are you using?
If you are looking for live throughput or data usage history (last 30 days), you should be able to see them in the device page. (For OpenVPN, profile is shared, so data usage is shared too)
If you are looking for combined data usage when device is on or off VPN, it's not supported.

I am using firewalla gold in router mode.
Firewalla Gold-->Unifi Switch-->Unraid Server
I have segmented my Unraid server to its own vlan. On my NAS I have multiple dockers running.
If someone is using plex to watch a movie Firewalla wont show any changes on Live Throughput and it dont register any data usage at all. Plex is behind reverse proxy using cloudflare.
I also have a torrent client running in a docker. This docker has wireguard included using Torguard so all torrent traffic goes through this wireguard tunnel. If I download a ubuntu iso at 4GB at full speed I cant see any changes in Live Througput or data usage at all.
So all usage on my dockers behind reverse proxy and all dockers that has wireguard included are not registered in Firewalla. Not on data usage and not on live throughput.
If I look at my Unraid Server in Firewalla it says a total of 16 GB uploaded and 12 GB downloaded the last 30 days. From logging the data directly on my unraid server I know that Firewalla are missing out on about 400GB upload/download during the last 24 hours alone.
I can easily test this by letting someone stream a movie or download something in my torrent client and looking at activity last 60 minutes. Nothing is registered at all.
