Ap7 in canada

When was the survey done?...I've never seen one. Your products are getting more popular. Perhaps it can be ran again at some point?
I guess the issue is bigger than a simple certification eh...as in, transmission frequencies would have to be modified and thus the "minimum build requirement"Guessing we won't see the new Orange in CAN anytime soon then either :(

Short answer is no. Can't legally import or operate any radio device into Canada without ISED approval. Since it already has FCC and CE certification, they recommend collecting the existing FCC + CE package (test reports, grants/certs, exhibits, antenna info, software/region control description), and have a test lab / certification body run a “delta assessment” against:
RSS-Gen + RSS-102
RSS-247 for 2.4/5
RSS-248 for 6 GHz
ICES-003 for EMC
Expect at least RSS-248 + RSS-102 work unless the existing dossier already includes Canada-targeted testing. -
Good day Firewalla team,
Jumping in here, as I would also happily throw money at you for an AP7 :).
R.g. the comment of personal imports - this is still illegal under Canadian Law, as Wifi devices are radio apparatus.
"- "Radio Apparatus" Regulation: Wireless routers (Wi-Fi equipment) are considered Category I radio equipment.
- Approval Label Required: To be legally imported and used, a router must bear an ISED certification/registration number. If it only has a CE or FCC label without a corresponding ISED number, it is considered "uncertified" by Canadian authorities.
-
The Law: Importing and using uncertified wireless equipment that causes interference is an offence under the Radiocommunication Act, which can result in fines of up to $5,000 or imprisonment.
If the router is for your home and has both FCC and ISED approval, it is generally okay to import. If it only has CE/FCC and no ISED mark, you risk it being confiscated at the border or violating the Radiocommunication Act. "
I would also love to see a new survey come out, happy to put my name on what appears to be a growing list, and hoping to see more of your great products in Canada soon!
