Purple Installation Question

Hello,

I've been running a Firewalla Blue (The OG one) for several years and just got the Purple. I've got an equipment order question for you all and I hope it makes sense.

So I have the Firewalla Purple (I'll run in Router Mode)

DSL Internet Provider Modem (Just provides the internet connection)

Netgear 5 Port POE Layer 2 Switch (To setup VLANS)

Netgear Orbi Wifi Mesh Network (for WIFI devices)

What I want to know, is where would you put the POE switch? I was thinking it should go like this:

Modem > Firewalla > POE Switch > Mesh.

The intent is to run some VLANs to segment my network traffic. Is my thinking correct on this or should I go:

Modem > Switch > Firewalla > Mesh

If I go this route I could power the Firewalla with the switch but I'm not sure if it makes sense to have the Firewalla coming after.

Thoughts?
