    I tested this once and created the following file:
    /home/pi/.firewalla/config/user_crontab.

    The content is then:
    3 4 * * root killall -HUP pppd

    Unfortunately this is not executed. What could be the reason for this?

    Did you reboot after editing the file? It won't take effect until after a reboot.

    A reboot was performed without success.

    Support has sent me a solution that works.

    30 5 * * * sudo systemctl restart firerouter_pppd@pppoe0

    Because here in germany we have this shitty 24h forced disconnect by the ISP. In the worst case it is disconnecting in the middle of the day while a phone call. Therefore it is a selling point here in germany.

     

    Of course I can use cronjobs with firewalla, but I don't want frickling around and I can't edit this via app... You are forcing us to use the app for configuration, so it should be in the app.

     

    Anyway thank you for your great product!
