Has anyone recently started to have problems accessing Google services when parental controls are enabled? I started noticing it last week. It can be a small thing like images not loading in Gmail, to larger issues, e.g. Calendar and Meet thinking they are offline. Google Play (on Android phones) not loading properly. 

Turning off parental controls fixed it, but that's not a long term solution.

  I think I've found the problem, it wasn't actually Family Protect, but a firewall rule to block "app-measurement.com". It turns out that's a Google domain and I guess it is sometimes served from the same IP as other Google services, which meant other Google services appeared to randomly get blocked too.

  Is there a way to block the tracker domain but not all Google services?

  Try to block app measurement using domain-only block. The default block is a much harsher block at the IP layer. In 1.973, there will be some enhancements to the domain-only block, it will likely block more effective and efficiently than the IP block.
