Apple Private Relay - Blocked??

Looked into my Firewalla and saw this was added 7 hours ago.

List Name: Apple Private Relay

Notes: "Apple Private Relay Servers, block them to ban the relay service"

Number of Targets: 2

Could someone explain to me why this was added to the block list?

  This is the target list, which you can use to "block" apple private relay.  See https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500005941962-Firewalla-Feature-Target-List-Beta-

  Thank you for the response. I am familiar with this feature, but I was wondering "why". Could you you tell me why you guys chose to add a block for Apply Private Relay Service?

  They probably added this for people that do not want the rules on their network to be bypassed. With private relay, DNS and web traffic is bypassed on the local firewall, so this becomes an issue, especially if you have children.

  The block is not one by default, it's a target list to help the average user to create a rule if they choose to, to block the service.

  Ahh Never mind. I didn't realize this wasn't a block (just an option to block). I thought this was a hard block set by Firewalla. My apologies, and thank you both for your response and clarification!

  Yep, a target list is just a list ... and you can do many actions with that list
