You usually cannot have both an A record and a CNAME record for the exact same hostname. You'll need to delete this existing A record pointing to Azure IP, and add a New CNAME Record pointing to Firewalla DDNS.

DNS changes can take minutes to 48 hrs to propagate. Sometimes you just need to wait.

If you own test.com, as in your example, you could point azure.test.com to the Azure IP, as an A record, and then you could point firewalla.test.com to your DDNS firewalla domain as a CNAME. Like mentioned above, though, you don't want to try to point the same host to both.

What you don't want to do is point to the Firewalla's WAN IP, because that could change, hence the need for DDNS.

For example, I have my host pointed, using a CNAME, to randomstring.d.firewalla.org. You can grab that URL from the app.

    Thank you for the responses.

So, I need to delete the A record (which makes sense to me since I don't have an IP address with which to point Test.com to).

Do I need to delete my existing CNAME record where Name=www and Value=Test.com?

Doyle Jack, it sounds that I I need to add a new CNAME record with Name=www.Test.Com and Value=randomstring.d.firewalla.org. Is that correct?

I just deleted my A record. When I add a CNAME record with Name=www.Test.com and Value=randomstring.d.firewalla.org, I get an error in GoDaddy. Again, I do not know what to set Name to. I also tried Name=www which doesn't work either (maybe because of the existing CNAME record I mentioned earlier?).

What you need to do is

    Your DNS: mydns.mydns.com (for example)

    And under that record, CNAME=xxxx.d.firewalla.org
