Firewalla Gold SE with Google WiFi and Managed Switch
I just got a firewalla Gold SE and a ubiquiti 16-port managed switch (I wanted even more ports). I want to get my Google WiFi working until the Firewalla AP7 is restocked. I'm trying to follow this guide but for some reason I'm confused.
https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/360048869274-Google-Wifi-or-Nest-Wifi-Mesh-network-with-Gold-Series-Beta-Firewalla
Let's say my setup is like this:
ISP>Firewalla Port 4
Firewalla Port 1 Trunk > Ubiquiti Port 15
Google WiFi WAN vlan 200 > Ubiquiti Port 14
I'm confused why they're limiting the IPs of the access points to only themselves and having a different network/VLAN for the Google WiFi LAN itself. If I wanted to could I make the default Google WiFi LAN 192.168.86.0/24 as a vlan on my ubiquiti/firewalla and connect the ubiquiti to port 13?
Right now I don't have the lan port connected and it looks like all the devices connected to wifi on the 192.168.86.x network don't show up under the firewalla just the main access point.
