Firewalla Gold and AP7?

One thing I'm confused on is that the Firewalla Gold is supported with the AP7, but the AP7 doesn't have any 1GB ports on it right?  Can the 2.5GB port work at 1GB?   Or is it expected that if you want to link the AP7 and Firewalla Gold. you would have a switch that can autosense between 1GB and 2.5GB (or a 10GB switch that has 1GB ports on it)?

  The 10G and 2.5G ports also support 1G ports.

  10G: 10G, 5G, 2.5G, 1G

  2.5G: 2.5G, 1G 

  (both may also connect to 100Mbit ... that will be a huge waste)
