AP7 call home?

Does the AP7 do a "call home" to Firewalla, and is that required for functionality? I currently use 3 Plume devices, but if the internet access goes down these immediately stop working (device broadcasts SSID but no network access) as they require the ability to reach Plume to function. Since we live in the North East and power and Internet can go down at times this is a big pain since that means we loose access to Plex and other devices on the wireless network.

  AP7 is controlled by your firewalla unit, it doesn't depend on anything else to work.
