GMails Icons Not Showing Up
Hello
This may not be, but the issue could be the same as the one I already raised - linked to my phone not updating from Play Store - ... that has no resolution except 'Emergency Access' switch in Firewalla App (and hence, not monitoring that device anymore)
So. Context:
I have a PC connected to my Wireless network managed through firwealla. Firewalla is the DHCP Server. When I browse Gmail from my PC, I miss all the icons and check boxes. I do only see the labels on the left and the email title in the right.
This PC is in a group where no rules apply except 'Advertisement' filtering/
What I just did now : check Emergency Access. It resolves the problem (I can load Gmail with all the icons and buttons).
When I said at the beginning it joins the issue I have with Play Store, I do think this is linked because my phone refuses to update any application from Play Store when it's not in 'Emergency Access' state in Firewalla.
Would you have any idea what could be blocking and what could help me to keep my house monitored (Especially for kids traffic, and malware protection) ?
Thanks

If emergency access made the problem go away, then the problem is likely in these areas
- A rule under the rules button may be blocking
- Adblocker
- DNS over https (DoH is so new, and it is buggy at times)
- Family mode
- Or a device based block
Some of the controls like the adblocker, may take time to take in effect; the DNS need need to be timed out.

All right. I didn't noticed but .. after disabling Adblocker, Family rules, some rules were still applied.
I removed all of my rules and it solved my problem.. it's a bit ackward because some rules must have been denying accesses but I will rebuild them somehow..
For now. Topic closed where root cause was : the existance of already created rules available for browsing from the rules button on the app home screen .
