Firewalla Gold Blocking Amazon Devices

I am a new user so please bear with me if this question is too naive for you.

I just installed my Gold using port 1~3 connecting to my three VLAN in Simple Mode. Once my installation is accomplished I start to notice it selectively block many seemingly normal traffic like all Amazon devices and XBox, while my other PC/laptop/IOT seems to work just fine.

I did not use any new rule other than the default "Suspicious Sites Bundle". After hours of trial I only find out using my iPhone app to grant these devices "Emergency Access" is the only way to unblock the devices without disabling traffic monitoring.

This is very strange to me that I wouldn't think Firewalla would use a standard configuration to block Amazon Fire and Echo devices. So I would think that I must have overlooked something. What is the best practice to review the rules applied to these blocking?

Are you using the Advanced Simple mode? Meaning you are doing simple mode together with multiple VLAN's? If that's the case, you may hit a bug that's solved in 1.971 already.

Yes that is how I run it.

It's great to know this is a fixed bug. My firmware is still running 1.970/ac69cb45.

So when do we expect 1.971 to go out to the user?

I can confirm 1.971 (beta) solves the issue. I have been testing it for a week and now I can finally start to put devices out of emergency access. Also the app responsiveness issue is also fixed it seems as I no longer have to wait 15~20 seconds to get an update from the app.
