iPhone Changing MAC Address

I'm an Android guy and don't know much about IOS, so I'm hoping someone can shed some light.

 

I have Firewalla blue on a Google Wifi network...no other extenders or anything like that. 

 

There's an iPhone that changed MAC addresses and showed up as a new device a couple of days ago. I assume it's spoofing because it says the manufacturer is unknown. This has only happened once, and the device has left and re-entered the network multiple times.

 

I read that there's a setting in IOS to dynamically change your IP address every time you connect to a network, but this one has only changed once. 

 

Any ideas on what would cause this behavior?

  Likely this device just updated to iOS 14 ... and after pairing it will stick with that one random MAC ... There is another discussion here at the forums, on how long will the phone hold that MAC ... ours been 5 days.  And some said they change daily ... so we not sure

  You can have the iPhone user disable randomized MAC address usage for your network. While they are connected to your Wi-Fi network, have them go to Settings -> Wi-Fi, then tap on the SSID for your network and then tap the slider to turn off Private Address.
