It will not recognize the iPad, as your WiFi Mac is not being sent over the vpn.
You can assign the Firewalla VPN network as a VPN client and this will let any device connected to the Firewalla over VPN to go out the client VPN.

Hi, I believe that my query is the same, but I can't see how to configure it. I have a regular Blue device. I regularly use the VPN Server feature to connect to the home network remotely, and I've recently subscribed to Surfshark and set up its connection as a VPN Client on the Blue. So now clearly I want all outbound requests to use the (Surfshark) VPN Client, even those that come via the VPN Server as a result of me connecting remotely, but I can't see how to configure that. The VPN Client options only allow for selecting specific devices and so I cannot provide the IP range of the remote VPN Server devices.

Is what I want to do achievable?

Why would you VPN back to your device to then be redirected to a 3rd party VPN. Just go directly to your 3rd party VPN of you are away from home. If you want access to your home network etc, then VPN to firewalla. Not sure what your asking  for makes sense. I may be mid reading your intentions.

Yes, you can do it. In the vpn client, select Apply To’, then select ‘Firewalla VPN’, this will force any traffic coming in via the VPN server to go out via the VPN client over the internet.

Hi, For example if I'm away from my home office then I'll use the VPN Server feature to connect to home which gives me essential access to my home NAS and CCTV (for example). At that point all usual web browsing requests are going via my home Blue, so as it stands it seems that those requests would not be routed through the Surfshark VPN Client, unless I'mm missing something. Switching between VPN client apps on my laptop depending on what I want to do would be unworkable. Firewalla promote the VPN server feature as 'be like you you are at home' (or similar wording) but my use case make that appear to not be true.

Hi capnrob97, I have no 'Firewalla VPN' option in the Apply To list within VPN Client. Could that be only available on the Blue+ and Gold? Or maybe it's a magic reserved group name like the Quarantine group and I've removed it inadvertently?
