If you are in DHCP mode, you will need to make sure the first forward is from your router to firewalla, and second forward is inside firewalla to the real device.  see this

A few comments here - written without any judgments.

eMule is P2P technology from 2002 (based on eDonkey that started in 2000) that has a history of being the source of many trojan and malware attacks. Amazingly, eMule is still incredibly popular. Since the last eMule update 0.50a  (seven years ago) lots has changed in the cybersecurity world and software that hasn't been updated is not good to use. Use of eMule can result in blocking from your ISP and a lot of the files hosted in the P2P network are infected with malware.

Even some of the eMule executables have malware in them.

By using eMule you are running the risk of introducing malware into your network and all connected machines and devices. I would encourage you to really think about using eMule. If you installed a Firewalla Gold to protect yourself from threat actors, the use of eMule can completely obliterate all of the protections the Gold is providing to you.

eMule has another problem ... (also other p2p software) they drive up the flow count in memory, which causes our watchdog to do crazy things ...

So ... if you are using p2p software, make sure you limit the number of connections

Oh great. You say, "which causes our watchdog to do crazy things" to a curious team with major CDO issues (OCD but the letter are in alphabetical order -- we have real problems).

Now we have to spend another night without sleep trying P2P activities to see what happens.

    Thanks for nuttin'!

This problem happens more often on the lower memory platforms.  Red more often than the Blue.  The Gold, we have not seen anyone complain about it.
