So I see this post is marked as completed? Does that mean we have the ability to manually add virtual IP devices that share the same MAC address?

No, the ability to do this is still not implemented through either the Firewalla app or the Web UI, as far as I am aware, and it has been many years since I made the original request.

Apparently, the workaround (which I never tested) is to use scripting to create port forwarding rules to devices, not in the device list.

A great firewall compared to the subscription-loaded bloatware of many of its competitors, but still not feature-complete.

What a bummer! That pretty much means anybody with a system in their network utilizing an IPVLAN interface for docker containers is SOL. This looks to be the last thing holding up my purchase of a gold plus..

For me personally being able to manually create a virtual ip address for my homelab with something like kemp load balancing. Then yes it was completed with the following update. Please see the release notes: https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/4554420886163

Well, it looks like I'll need to eat a little crow on that last post of mine!

I just looked in the app and indeed, it looks like you can add an IP address manually to a Port Forwarding rule, instead of picking from the list of already-discovered devices.

Well done, Firewalla dev team. That is indeed handy. I don't have a need for the feature anymore as I dropped my Load Balancers a year ago, but, this opens up some interesting possibilities for traffic routing.

    Case closed.

@firewalla - It's been 3 years. Any plans for being able to pre-configure dhcp reservations?

I think the original intent of the thread (based on why I posted here and the first post on the thread ) was accomplished in the 1.50 app update so we can now forward ports to an IP that doesn’t exist or show up in the list of devices.

You may need to create a separate post requesting the ability to bypass DHCP to manually add devices etc…

If you are interested in mapping MAC addresses to reserved IPs, or pre-configuring DHCP reservations, please upvote and comment on this existing request: https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/43769407206675-Reserve-IP-for-a-device-by-MAC-address-even-if-never-connected
This is the best way to get attention from our dev team. Thanks!

4 years with no movement and you think I'm going to waste my time trying to communicate with Firewalla?
