My child keeps on unplugging the firewalla when he doesnt want to be monitored
My child keeps on unplugging the firewalla when he doesn't want to be monitored. Does anyone have experience with his and any advice on how i can either be alerted when its off like or disable the internet when that happens?

When the box is off, you should get an alert message on your phone.
First, in security, it is really important to have physical security. Possible to lock things up?
If not, then another possible way to make this work is to use the DHCP mode. When in this mode, if the firewalla is off, the network will be down. This is not perfect either...

Does the box need to be plugged directly into the router? or can it be anywhere on the network? (For example, i have a hub in the basement that is wired to the router, can it be plugged into the hub?)
In other words, locking the wireless router in a "safe place" would interfere with my home's wireless, but the hub can be locked up in a lead box for all i care.

Well, if you can't secure your Firewalla hardware, do like me, just set your ISP modem/gateway on Bridge mode, set your Firewalla as the main router, and let the Firewalla to be your DHCP server, that way if your kid turn off the firewalla or unplug it from the network, the whole network will be down !
