Which version of Ubuntu comes with firewalla Red, Blue, and soon gold and what's the upgrade like?

Hi, 

 

In screenshots and docs, it looks like a Ubuntu like distribution, but this being a firewall, there has to be an official upgrade path?  I have an NFS server already at Ubuntu 18, but what do you ship your boxes with and what does the up official upgrade path look  like right now?   Get image from ipcop, or?

  Not sure what you mean by upgrade path, all the boxes will upgrade themselves automatically.  We do not expect you to upgrade the Linux distribution.  

  But, in case we have one, you can use our official image to flash it.

  Upgrade path means prodecure for upgrading Linux distribution on the device. What happens when your current Ubuntu distribution is deprecated? Is it simply a question of backing up current config via the GUI and reflashing the device, then restoring the config from off device?

  If we upgrade the distribution is either do it automatically or flash the SD card.   We do publish our binaries online.
