If you live in apartment, and you use Moca technology on your gateway, you need a Moca filter or...
Hi everyone, I'm here to share something that happened to me this week, and it's for some reason funny!
So, on monday I've received a call from my ISP with better price/package of internet upgrade... and I decided to get it... so couple minutes later, they probably did the upgrade on my internet, plus they had enabled Moca technology on my gateway without my concern...(I didn't even know about this Moca technology...) So I live in an apartment complex, and just after they enable it, I start receiving alerts from my Firewalla app about new devices start get in my network.... guess what? My neighbor have this Moca enabled, and looks like he doesn't have a filter... so all his network traffic including his routers and gateways get "sucked" by my Firewalla Blue ! I started thinking that my wifi get hacked, but after connect to my gateway and look for those devices, I notice that the connection type was "Moca" ... did quick research and find out what it was, and to solve this problem I had to call my ISP and ask them to don't enable Moca services on my gateway until they fix this issues with filters!
After this discover, I lmao because I had blocked my neighbor devices and network until have all this done and disabled moca!
I'm sure if wasn't for Firewalla, I could get my network shared with my neighbor without knowing it !
That's one more reason that I love my firewalla blue !

Quick update for those who use MoCa: Today I'm using MoCa technology just by taking advantage of the coaxial cables I already have all over my apartment, so this way, I didn't need to route a ethernet cable to my bedroom to watch the 4K tv due wifi in the apartment complex is not an option due the interference around...
So, in order to enable the MoCa without need to worry about your network get out your home/apartment, you just need to buy a MoCa filter, and install it before your cable modem !
I have exactly this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DC8IEE6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Hope this help if some one have the same problem !

That's not a such user ! That's a cave man who doesn't know how to use technology !
I'm wonder how he was able to order online and even give a review ! lol
Jokes apart, yah some people they don't know how things works, they don't care if you try to help... they just want to blame, even if it's their own fault.. they don't even research to find out what happened unfortunately!
