Not yet;   likely we will build something in the next couple releases.   Or until we have a default block and allow with white list infra.

The reason why I'm asking is that, I encountered a website that is not accessible in my network, but if I disable my Firewalla, the site becomes accessible.  I checked the network flow, and I couldn't find a log that this site was blocked or anything that was blocked from a particular device where I'm trying to access this site during that particular time frame.  I'm just trying to see if whitelisting this site could address this issue.

Please check the rules button, all the blocks are there.  In your particular case (and we seen a few) very likely that site may share the same IP as another site.

I am going to create an issue for our engineering team, what we need is a simple utility that will help you to check "why it is blocked".   Please watch out this feature

Would be nice to block all sites for some devices and only allow the listed sites in that case.

block all and allow some, we call this the lockdown mode.  It will be in the Gold for sure, applied the policy at the network level.

Will current blue/red devices get the same feature?

It depends on the implementation.   We are not sure yet, that lockdown feature is just too mature to comment now.

Is anyone having issues with accessing the main Google search website while using the Firwewalla (blue)? All other websites come up just fine, except google.com, across any device. If I disable monitoring, it works. I have blocks set for 3 highly malicious countries and a few other rules, but nothing process-intensive, nor ad-blocking enabled. Some feedback would be greatly appreciated if possible. I dont use Google search as much but others in my home do and its a pain having to disable the monitoring feature every time. Thanks in advance!

Very likely one of the rules is blocking google.com, tap on rules and see if you selected pause a few and see if it will make things better.   Also, please be aware, country/region blocks are never perfect.   So it is highly possible to have ranges of IP move between country to country/service provider to service provider.   You also might want to disable region blocks temporarily as well.

C0d3-N1ght's problem is one reason why I was going to propose some kind of "why is this blocked?" feature. I also have sites that are blocked when unexpected. I have no way of telling which rule is doing it so I just go and pause different rules until traffic flows again. I see you mention this feature 6 mos ago. Is it still on the todo list?

...also  +1 on the whitelisting feature.

    We are working on both:

    1. whitelist a list of domain/ips that will never be blocked

    2. a diagnostic tool to check if an ip/domain/port is blocked by Firewalla, and if so, list which rule.

It's likely to be available along with the Gold beta program.

Would like Whitelisting AND Blacklisting, please. Blacklisting can very useful if you are subject to malicious activities from a given domain, or a particular IP address. You can block the domain or block the IP address.

    Thank you,

    Chris,

Blacklisting is already present in the Firewalla. Tap the Rules icon, then the + sign on the rules panel to add a site to the blacklist.

Whitelisting will likely be in beta with the Gold beta users this or next week, and that same code will be merged back to the red/blue after gold ships.  So likely middle to late summer should be on all platforms.

Here is the tutorial on rules https://help.firewalla.com/hc/en-us/articles/360008521833-Manage-Rules

Thank you Bob and Firewalla for your replies. Good to know that I can already blacklist if needed.
